Deputy Constable William Frank Carey
Carmel Police Department
E.O.W. - June 8, 1900

Deputy Constable William Carey was shot and killed by a traveling evangelist known as ''Cyclone Johnson.'' The evangelist had a history of assaulting people who disagreed with the way he preached.

Officer Francis Woodrow Castor
Noblesville Police Department
E.O.W. - July 28, 1948

Patrolman Francis Castor was killed in a motorcycle accident while on duty. Patrolman Castor had served with the Noblesville Police Department for only two weeks.

Trooper Richard Gerald Brown
Indiana State Police
E.O.W. - September 27, 1967

While investigating an early morning car-truck collision on I-74 in Boone County, Trooper Brown was struck by an oncoming vehicle. Trooper Brown and two others were fatally injured in the crash.

Deputy Marshal David Keith Brown
Westfield Police Department
E.O.W. - January 11, 1969

Deputy Marshal David Brown was checking on a suspicious person behind the Westfield High School while investigating the theft of livestock. Deputy Marshal Brown was later found shot to death in his patrol car.

Master Trooper Michael Earl Green
Indiana State Police
E.O.W. - February 5, 1993

While on routine patrol in Marion County, Master Trooper Greene stopped to question two male subjects stopped along Interstate 65. After checking with the post, he learned the men were wanted. As Master Trooper Greene was handcuffing one suspect, the other suspect shot and killed him.
