RECRUITMENT NIGHT EVENT - AUGUST 19
As the HCSO prepares for our upcoming Recruitment Information Night beginning at 6:30pm at the HCSO Training Room, they would like to invite members of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy Alumni Association to assist with welcoming our prospective candidates.
They are looking for two alumni members to greet visitors as they arrive in the lobby, two members to escort guests to the training room, and two volunteers to help distribute welcome bags when the attendees are checking in. Each welcome bag will contain our Annual Report, an HCSO keychain, a pen, a notepad for taking notes, and a few additional agency items.
This is a wonderful opportunity for the HCSOCAAA to show and demonstrate its continued support for the men and women of our agency while making a positive first impression on those considering a career with the Sheriff's Office. Thank you in advance to everyone who is willing to volunteer your time. Your support and commitment to our agency and its future members are sincerely appreciated!
CRUISE INDY - AUGUST 22
Cruise Indy: Where Cars, Community & Cause Come Together:
Cruise Indy is a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that goes far beyond a conventional car show. It unites car, truck and motorcycle enthusiasts, collectors and the public in a shared passion for all things automotive.
More than an exhibition, Cruise Indy is a platform for purpose, featuring a heartfelt tribute to Folds of Honor & our Military Community. Representatives from every branch of the U.S. military, a color guard ceremony and flyover remind us of the true reason behind this gathering; honoring those who serve and sacrifice for our freedom.
What sets Cruise Indy apart is its mission-driven approach.
By blending the thrill of automotive culture with charitable impact, the event fosters connection, camaraderie and community—while making a difference for families of America’s heroes.

HCSO CITIZENS ACADEMY - SEP. 3 - NOV. 19
Volunteers Needed – Help Make the HCSO Citizens Academy a Success!
As you well know, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy is one of the Sheriff's Office's premier community outreach programs, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement. As you know, over the course of 12 weeks, class members experience firsthand how the Sheriff's Office operates, learn about specialized units, and even participate in some of the same training our deputies receive.
This is also one of the best opportunities of the year for the HCSO Citizens Academy Alumni Association to connect with each new class, welcome future alumni, and showcase the value of our organization.
We're looking for volunteers to help throughout the academy!
Volunteer Needs
-
Week 1: 6 volunteers
-
Weeks 2–12: Minimum of 4 volunteers each Thursday evening
As a volunteer, you'll:
-
Welcome and assist class participants.
-
Help with check-in and event logistics.
-
Meet and interact with future alumni.

Represent our organization and help create a positive first impression.
Whether you can help one Thursday or several, your time makes a tremendous difference. Every volunteer helps ensure the academy runs smoothly while strengthening the relationship between the Sheriff's Office and our community.
If you've attended the Citizens Academy before, you know how meaningful this program is. Now is your chance to help make that same experience possible for the next class.
Join us and be part of one of the HCSO's most rewarding community events!
