Heroes Run — HCSOCAAA Volunteer Sign-Up

Join the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Citizen’s Academy Alumni Association (HCSOCAAA) as we support the Heroes Run at Koteewi Park!

We are looking for 10 HCSOCAAA volunteers to serve as Field Marshals along the race course. Volunteers will be positioned throughout the course to help direct runners and walkers, keep participants on the correct route, and provide a friendly HCSOCAAA presence throughout the event.

The Heroes Run is a community 5K Run/Walk supporting and celebrating our local law enforcement officers and first responders. It brings together runners, walkers, families, and community members for a morning of fitness, fellowship, and support for those who serve Hamilton County.

Event Details
Saturday, October 31
Volunteer Arrival: 7:30 a.m. for briefing and assignments
Race: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
Koteewi Park - 1800 Koteewi Drive, Noblesville, IN

Volunteer Assignment: Field Marshals — help direct participants throughout the race course.

What to Wear: Please wear Citizens Academy apparel and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

Only 10 volunteers are needed, so please sign up if you can help!

Volunteers Needed – Help Make the HCSO Citizens Academy a Success!

As you well know, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy is one of the Sheriff's Office's premier community outreach programs, giving participants a behind-the-scenes look at law enforcement. As you know, over the course of 12 weeks, class members experience firsthand how the Sheriff's Office operates, learn about specialized units, and even participate in some of the same training our deputies receive.

This is also one of the best opportunities of the year for the HCSO Citizens Academy Alumni Association to connect with each new class, welcome future alumni, and showcase the value of our organization.

We're looking for volunteers to help throughout the academy!

Volunteer Needs

Week 1: 6 volunteers
Weeks 2–12: Minimum of 4 volunteers each Thursday evening

As a volunteer, you'll:

Welcome and assist class participants.
Help with check-in and event logistics.
Meet and interact with future alumni.
Share information about the Alumni Association and encourage involvement.
Represent our organization and help create a positive first impression.

Whether you can help one Thursday or several, your time makes a tremendous difference. Every volunteer helps ensure the academy runs smoothly while strengthening the relationship between the Sheriff's Office and our community.
